Founded in 2009, Barnes PR is a creative agency based in the Virgin Islands. The company provides public relations, communications strategy, design, and public and community outreach services. Barnes PR’s client list includes, real estate developers, tourism and hospitality leaders, financial services providers, politicians, and public administrators. Barnes PR provides a distinct brand of public relations, communications strategy, public and community outreach and development services to public and private sector clients.


Barnes PR was founded on the idea that clients wanted much more than the standard notion of public relations. Individuals and organisations want strategic representation packed with a throng of communications tools to get their point of view to their audiences; Public Relations that is thoughtful, ingenious, current, methodical and inspires a client’s audience to be curious about their perspective. Above all, public relations should communicate change.


With deeply embedded roots in the Virgin Islands community, Barnes PR has provided high quality, effective public/community relations services to several businesses, agencies and governmental departments. Our connection to our community makes it possible to access key players and stakeholders to communicate and advocate on behalf of our clients.

We seek to find synergies between our client portfolio as well as local and regional opportunities for the betterment of all of our clients, utilising current trends in communications to effectively attain client goals.


Regional collaborations include projects with the Pan American Health Organisation, the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the Caribbean Development Bank and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency. Having designed and managed two successful political campaigns over the past five years, the company is known for its innovative political strategy.

Our Social Initiatives

The company regularly utilities its resources and relationships to support initiatives around entrepreneurship, youth development and the social and economic advancement of women.


In 2013, Barnes PR hosted the Virgin Islands’ inaugural Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Celebrated throughout the world, the week remains the globe’s largest celebration of innovators and job creators. Barnes PR won GEW UK’s High Impact Award for its 2013, 2014 and 2015 activities.


And in 2014, the company launched its second community outreach initiative, the Rita Frett Georges Tea, which seeks to annually celebrate the achievements of women in the Virgin Islands while raising funds for charities such as the Family Support Network (FSN), the Territory’s leading agency that assists victims of domestic violence.
